MEP Rasa Juknevičienė came to the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee session wearing a T-shirt with a photo of Batumelebi founder Mzia Amaglobeli and Amaglobeli’s phrase: “Fight before it’s too late.”

Rasa Juknevičienė presented a draft report on Georgia at the session.

According to her, the report discusses fraudulent elections, the ruling party’s decision to block the country’s path to EU membership, the detention of journalists and opposition politicians, and attacks on the EU and its representatives. The report supports new fair elections, sanctions against the regime, and calls for the release of political prisoners and a review of EU support.

The committee approved the draft report with 55 votes.
