In Tbilisi, three people were stabbed during an altercation. The incident took place yesterday near the "Ghrmaghele" metro station.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the alleged perpetrator fled the scene after the incident.
Emergency medical services transported all three injured individuals to a medical facility, where one of them died within minutes of arrival due to injuries incompatible with life.
"Officers of the Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested Z.F., born in 1985, on the spot, based on operational and investigative actions, on charges of attempted premeditated murder of two or more persons under aggravating circumstances. The crime is punishable by up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
The investigation revealed that on June 4 of this year, in Tbilisi, the accused stabbed three individuals during an altercation and fled the scene. All three were transported by emergency medical services to a medical facility, where one of them – R.R., born in 1983 – died within minutes due to life-threatening injuries.
Following investigative actions, law enforcement officers arrested the suspect within hours of the incident. The weapon used in the crime – a knife – was seized as evidence.
The investigation is ongoing under Article 19-109, subsection 'l' of the Criminal Code," the statement reads.
