The winning school students from Kvareli and Telavi were awarded within the project “The Path of Electricity from Production to Its Consumption”

As part of the project of the Energy Training Center established by the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC) - “The Path of Electricity from Production to Its Consumption” - an exhibition showcasing energy-themed art works created by students from public schools in Kvareli and Telavi was held, during which the winners were announced. The authors of the 16 winning works were awarded portable and tablet computers.

The award ceremony took place at the Ilia Chavchavadze House-Museum in Kvareli, where the GNERC Chairman, Davit Narmania and the State Representative of the Kakheti Region, Giorgi Aladashvili, addressed the audience and presented certificates and gifts to the winning students.

At the same event, the Executive Director of the GNERC, Elene Lagvilava, the Dean of the Faculty of Energy at the Georgian Technical University, Ketevan Kutateladze and the heads of the educational resource centers of Kvareli and Telavi spoke about the importance of engaging school students in energy related issues.

The Energy Training Center is successfully implementing the project “The Path of Electricity from Production to Its Consumption” for schoolchildren for the second time. The project aims to educate students about the full cycle of electricity production and consumption, raise their awareness of renewable energy sources, and highlight Georgia’s potential for green energy development. As part of the project, participants received training, and an exhibition showcasing student-created thematic works was organized. Additionally, the Energy Training Center will host a one-week summer school for the winning students.
