According to Valeri Shoshiashvili, during the National Movement's government, he owned a business with his family, however, in exchange for owning and doing business, the National Movement demanded that he pay 100,000 GEL.

According to him, he had to communicate with the then Minister of Justice Zurab Adeishvili, along with other representatives of the National Movement government, regarding his business activities. In addition, according to Valeri Shoshiashvili, his son and Zurab Adeishvili's son, Nikoloz Adeishvili, were classmates. According to Shoshiashvili, before meeting Zurab Adeishvili face to face, he mentioned the fact that his children were classmates to ease his situation, which irritated Adeishvili, and during the face-to-face meeting and communication, Adeishvili threatened him with punishment for mentioning the fact that his children were classmates.

According to Valeri Shoshiashvili, Zura Adeishvili perceived the mention of the fact that his children were classmates as if he were turning to him for help and salvation in the case.

The chairwoman of the commission, Tea Tsulukiani, responded to Shoshiashvili at the session.

“Zura Adeishvili, and it would be good if Mr. Nikolozi [Zura Adeishvili’s son] hears this, that his father, as soon as the elections were held on October 1, fled the country like the last coward because he could not confront people like you, his direct victims. When today, Valeri Shoshiashvili, a citizen here, says that “I went through hell and I am still fighting to establish the truth” and I hope that this commission will make some contribution to establishing it, of course, everyone should know this, including his children, because everyone has the right and obligation to know,” Tsulukiani said.
