Kakha Kaladze calls MEP Nacho Sanchez Amor’s statement that those sanctioned are calling EU and asking how they can be removed from the sanctioned list “a big nonsense”

I am sure that this is a big nonsense, - this is how the Secretary General of the Georgian Dream, Kakha Kaladze, responded to the statement of the European Parliamentarian, Nacho Sanchez Amor, that "those under sanctions are calling the European Union, NGOs with the question: how they can be removed from this [sanctioned] list".

According to Kaladze, when it comes to the country, no sanctions can work.

"What nonsense. Ordinary nonsense. What can I say, ordinary nonsense!

I have spoken about sanctions many times, I repeat once again, when it comes to the country, homeland, the interests of the country and its protection, no sanctions can work.

I am sure that this is a big nonsense", - Kaladze stated.

In addition, Kaladze spoke about the European Parliament report on the issue of opposition participation in local elections and stated that “opposition politicians will do whatever their masters order, tell and instruct them to do.”

“A few months ago, they had a very strong position, everyone was talking about the fact that participating in the elections would be disastrous. They were very categorical and said that they would not participate in the elections under any circumstances. However, in recent days, weeks, you have seen how softened their “messages” are, because they have received an assignment.

Believe me, these people have absolutely no opportunity to make a decision for themselves. They will act as their masters order, say and instruct... Back then they were told that they should have this "message" that they would not participate in the elections, today the attitude is changing, they have received the order and let's see how principled they are!", - Kaladze noted.

For information, European Parliamentarian Nacho Sanchez Amor stated that "those sanctioned are calling the European Union with questions: "What happened to my assets, my house in Spain, my child who is studying in Belgium?"

According to him, the only lever is personal sanctions.
