So-called Foreign Minister of Occupied Abkhazia: The desire of the Georgian establishment to return Abkhazia to Georgia is a utopia

The Georgian establishment’s desire for Abkhazia to return to Georgia is utopian, the so-called foreign minister of occupied Abkhazia, Oleg Bartsits, said in an interview with Russian media.

When asked why occupied Abkhazia and Georgia are not signing an agreement on the non-use of force, Oleg Bartsits replied that “the Georgian leadership has not yet overcome the phantom pains.”

“This is a result of the fact that the Georgian leadership has not yet overcome the phantom pains. A significant part of the Georgian establishment still wants Abkhazia to return to Georgia. This is utopian,” Bartsits said.

According to him, “some sensible politicians in Georgia already understand that Abkhazia will not return to their territory, although they do not say this out loud.”
