The Prosecutor's Office of Georgia has launched an investigation based on a statement made by Bishop Giorgi Jamdeliani of Marneuli and Hujabi, spread by various media outlets, in which he speaks about his premeditated murder plan.

"The Prosecutor's Office of Georgia has launched an investigation under Article 18,108 of the Criminal Code (premeditated murder).

All necessary investigative and procedural actions will be carried out within the framework of the investigation," the statement says.

For information, Bishop Giorgi (Jamdeliani) of Marneuli and Hujabi claims that a current member of the government was preparing his murder. As Jamdeliani explained during his sermon, a representative of the security service had a nun of the diocese won over.
