"I come here to once again expose, as much as possible, the injustice that has taken root in this country — to lift the veil, first and foremost, for supporters of 'Georgian Dream,' so that they can see that tomorrow, they and their families could also end up under the oppression of this court system," — this statement was made by Mamuka Khazaradze, leader of "Lelo – For Strong Georgia," before the start of the court session. He is being charged for failing to appear before the parliamentary temporary investigative commission.

As Khazaradze noted, "We do not have a state where justice exists," and therefore he has no expectations regarding the process.

"This state is infiltrated by the former government’s prosecutors and judges — the same people who committed crimes under the previous government are doing the same now. This is one caste!

Until a full reorganization takes place and these people are removed from power, I have no expectation of justice," Khazaradze said.

The Tbilisi City Court is currently reviewing the case against Mamuka Khazaradze, the leader of "Lelo – For Strong Georgia."

The case concerns his failure to appear before the parliamentary temporary investigative commission.

Today's hearing will resume with the examination of the prosecution’s evidence. Additionally, it will be decided whether Khazaradze will testify in court.
