Political parties to no longer be required to submit information on donations and membership fees to Anti-Corruption Bureau within 5 working days

Political parties will no longer be required to submit information on donations and membership fees to the Anti-Corruption Bureau within 5 working days.

In this regard, the Law “On Political Unions of Citizens” is being amended, and according to the amendment, the party must submit information on the receipt of donations and the implementation of membership fees to the Bureau no later than the 15th of the month following the reporting month.

It is noteworthy that this amendment is being implemented within the framework of the legislative package that envisages the abolition of the Special Investigation Service and the transfer of its powers to the Prosecutor's Office. The decision to abolish the Special Investigation Service led to amendments to 20 laws, including the Law “On Political Unions of Citizens”.

The issue was discussed by the Parliament today in the second hearing - article by article.
