The Parliament's Finance and Budget Committee is hearing Giorgi Gabitashvili, who has been nominated for the position of General Auditor. The Parliament is expected to approve Gabitashvili for the new position during today’s plenary session.

Gabitashvili presented his vision, plans, and priorities for the role of General Auditor to the committee members.

His predecessor, Tsotne Kavelashvili, resigned from the position of General Auditor before the end of his term based on a personal statement. He has been appointed Deputy Minister of Finance.
