ISSA: The majority of Georgia’s population, 53%, supports the continuation of protests against the government

According to a study by the Institute for Social Studies and Analysis (ISSA), the majority of Georgia’s population (53%) supports the continuation of protests against the government, while one-third (32%) are categorically in favor of this demand.

According to the research, in the regions, the share of those who support the continuation of the protest (46.5%) exceeds that of opponents (36.5%). However, the shares of those who are categorically in favor and those who are categorically opposed are nearly identical.

The Institute for Social Studies and Analysis (ISSA) conducted a quantitative survey between May 5 and 20, 2025, based on interviews with 2,000 adult respondents across Georgia. The face-to-face interview method was used. The margin of error for the total sample is defined as ±2.2% with a 95% confidence level. The data was weighted based on demographic variables (gender, age, level of education, regions, urban/rural), as well as the results of the 2024 parliamentary elections. The research was carried out by ISSA in cooperation with the American organization Rosner Research LLC.
