Irakli Beraia appointed as Head of Revenue Service of Ministry of Finance

Levan Kakava has resigned and Irakli Beraia has been appointed as Head of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance, the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance reports.

Irakli Beraia was appointed to the position of the Head of the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance, based on Article 6, Paragraph 1 of the Law of Georgia “On the Revenue Service”. Until now, he headed the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance.

Irakli Beraia was born on July 23, 1976. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University in 1998. In 2016–2025, he was a member of the Parliament of Georgia of the 9th, 10th and 11th convocations. He held the position of Deputy Minister of Justice. The Head of the Revenue Service, Levan Kakava, resigned on June 16. He had held this position since 2019,” the information says.
