If our partners prove that the self-government elections will serve the goals of regime change, integration into Europe, and security, I am ready to participate, - one of the leaders of Strategy Builder, Paata Manjgaladze, stated on Palitranews TV.

On the other hand, as Manjgaladze stated, they still maintain the position that participation in the self-government elections would make sense if elections in Georgia are held in a free and democratic environment, which is not the case.

According to him, the way out of the current political situation is the unity of the opposition on the issue of regime change.

“Our proposal is this - let's start unity on the task of regime change and the European perspective. Let's sit down, put party numbers, party names aside. If our partners prove to us that the task of regime change, integration into Europe, and security will be served by the self-government elections, I am ready to participate. We simply have our very strong argument - in order to participate in the elections, there must be a minimum guarantee that the elections are being held, but we do not see such a thing,” Manjgaladze said.

As for other issues, Paata Manjgaladze also spoke about the trial of the leader of the Strategy Builder, Giorgi Vashadze, and did not rule out the possibility of Vashadze being detained.

"The regime has specifically selected people whom it wants to remove and isolate. The following have been selected: Giorgi Vashadze, Zura Japaridze, Nika Gvaramia, Nika Melia, Badri Japaridze, Mamuka Khazaradze. First of all, it has targeted these people, and it will not stop there. No one should think that it will not reach everyone - it will reach everyone it needs. People have been summoned again, which means that if they do not go for a second time, they will definitely be detained. The fact that the regime is afraid of leaders and detains them is its weakness.

When the government tries to suppress the media, declares non-governmental organizations as "agents" and refuses to allow foreign observers to come to the elections, this means that there is an autocracy in Georgia," Manjgaladze said.
