Judgement in Mamuka Khazaradze’s case to be announced on June 23

The judge will announce the judgement in the case of Mamuka Khazaradze, the leader of Lelo - Strong Georgia, on June 23 at 15:00.

At today’s hearing, the defense delivered its closing statement, after which the judge adjourned the proceedings.

For information, Mamuka Khazaradze was summoned to give an explanation before the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Parliament of Georgia, where he did not appear. In this regard, he was charged under Article 349 of the Criminal Code, which refers to “failure to comply with the request of the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Parliament of Georgia”, which is punishable by a fine, or imprisonment for a term of up to one year, or deprivation of the right to hold a position or engage in an activity for a term of up to three years.

Mamuka Khazaradze was granted a 50,000-GEL bail as a preventive measure, which he paid within the deadline established by law.
