Georgian judo team becomes World Champion

The Georgian judo team won the gold medal in the mixed team competition at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary. The Georgian team defeated South Korea 4:1 in the final.

In the round of 16, the Georgian team defeated China 4:1, in the quarterfinals they defeated Italy 4:0, and in the semifinals they defeated the current winner of the tournament, Japan 4:2.

Georgian judokas finished the individual competition at the World Championships with four medals: Eter Liparteliani (57 kg) won the gold medal, Tato Grigalashvili (81 kg) won the silver medal, Luka Maisuradze (90 kg) won the bronze medal, and Guram Tushishvili (+100 kg) won the silver medal.
