Kęstutis Budrys: The humanitarian situation in Georgia is deteriorating – we will be discussing issues ranging from additional support for civil society to a possible review of the visa regime

At Lithuania's initiative, we are proposing six points on how to continue working on the issue of Georgia, as the humanitarian situation in the country is deteriorating, and now is the right time to act — Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys stated this to journalists in Brussels ahead of the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting.

When asked what Lithuania's proposal specifically entails, the minister replied: “I will discuss them with my colleagues.”

“From additional support for civil society to a review of the current visa regime with Georgia,” the Lithuanian Foreign Minister noted.

As a reminder, the EU Foreign Affairs Council meeting is being held in Brussels today, where, among other topics, the situation in Georgia will also be discussed.
