New charges filed against Irakli Okruashvili in prison

According to former Defense Minister Irakli Okruashvili's lawyer, Mamuka Chabashvili, Okruashvili has been charged with new charges in prison.

As the lawyer explains, during his absence from Georgia, an investigator visited Okruashvili at Rustavi Penitentiary No. 12 and presented him with new charges.

According to Chabashvili, the charges are related to an incident that occurred two years ago. The lawyer will provide further details later.

At the moment, the trial of Irakli Okruashvili, who is accused of failing to comply with the request of the temporary investigative commission of the parliament, is to be held at the Tbilisi City Court.

The defendant himself will not attend the hearing.
