Employees of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs expelled 34 foreign nationals from Georgia

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, within the framework of complex operations carried out in recent days — and through close coordination between the Migration Department and relevant units of the Ministry — 34 foreign nationals were expelled from Georgia.

According to the agency, the expelled individuals were citizens of the following countries: India, Turkey, Turkmenistan, China, Egypt, Iraq, Russia, Iran, Jordan, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Nigeria, and Morocco — a total of 34 people. In accordance with current legislation, the expelled individuals have been banned from re-entering the country.

“The Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is the body responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. One of its competences includes identifying foreign nationals residing in Georgia without legal grounds and carrying out their expulsion,” the statement reads.
