According to the university, the workshop aimed to equip students with comprehensive guidance on developing viable, profit-oriented social enterprise business concepts tailored to the Georgian market.

“Throughout the business concept development process, participants explored several key themes, including: the role of business as a civic actor; waste management; pollution control; artificial intelligence and sustainability; and the integration of Sustainable Development Goals into educational curricula.

The event was officially opened by Tamar Bitsadze, Director of the GRUNI SDGs Center.

The workshop was led by Professor Mehdi Majidi, co-founder of the GRUNI SDGs Center, president of the Libra Alliance, and recipient of the French National Entrepreneurs Award.

The Center’s representatives and mentors will continue to engage with workshop participants through online sessions throughout June and July. Final business concept submissions are scheduled to be sent to the SDG Olympiad team by August 24th,” - as stated in the information released by the university.
