Lithuanian Foreign Ministry: We strongly condemn the repressions in Georgia – politically persecuted individuals must be released, and those involved must face sanctions

"The actions of 'Georgian Dream' violate the fundamental principles on which the European Union’s relationship with Georgia is built. Politically persecuted activists must be released, and those involved must face sanctions," stated the Lithuanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a released statement.

"We strongly condemn the repressions in Georgia, where more and more opposition leaders are being imprisoned every day. The actions of 'Georgian Dream' violate the fundamental principles on which the European Union’s relationship with Georgia is built. Politically persecuted activists must be released; those involved must face sanctions," the statement reads.
