A protest rally: “Stand Up Georgia” – will be held on Rustaveli Avenue

Today, June 29, a protest rally titled "Stand Up Georgia!" will be held on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi.

According to the organizers, the rally will begin at 20:00 on Rustaveli Avenue with the slogan: "Stand with your people! Stand for Georgia!"

"The enemy of Georgia is trying to turn our free country into one big prison. Political leaders of pro-Western parties, journalists, activists, doctors, actors, poets, teachers are already in jail. The government's repressions now affect us all — and if this continues, we too will end up in prison: some as inmates, some as guards, but all of us — in prison.

Today, silence is obedience. But Georgia cannot obey. Our standing up, our presence, our voice — it means that people in Georgia believe in freedom," the organizers said in their statement.
