"The authoritarian backsliding of Georgian Dream is unacceptable – this trajectory goes against the European aspirations of the Georgian people, and we will not remain silent," – wrote Benjamin Haddad, France’s Minister for European Affairs, on his X page.

According to the French minister, he participated in a coordination meeting initiated by his British counterpart, which focused on the situation in Georgia.

"Georgian Dream’s authoritarian backsliding is unacceptable.
