The deputies of the Gakharia for Georgia party have had their parliamentary mandates terminated. The mandates of the following were terminated due to unjustified absences from sessions: - Giorgi Gakharia, Teona Akubardia, Ana Buchukuri, Levan Gogichaishvili, Zaza Tavadze, Beka Liluashvili, Natia Mezvrishvili, Berdia Sichinava, Kakha Kemoklidze, Roin Kochorashvili, Dimitri Tskitishvili and Zviad Dzidziguri.
Currently, the 11th convocation parliament, which should consist of 150 members, is represented by 89 deputies. In total, the mandates of 61 members of parliament in the 11th convocation parliament have been terminated.
Unlike other opposition parties, Giorgi Gakharia's political union has not withdrawn its electoral list. This means that the issue of recognizing the authority of the next 12 members of the electoral list will be on the agenda of the parliament.
In addition, the Gakharia for Georgia party will not be able to receive funding from the budget for the next 6 months. In this case, the norm of the Law on Political Unions of Citizens came into force, according to which the party will not be able to receive budget funding for the next six months if more than half of the members of parliament elected by its nomination do not attend more than half of the plenary sessions of the parliament for an unjustified reason. In the event of the occurrence of these circumstances, the party’s funding from the state budget will be suspended from the first day of the next calendar month.
