March dedicated to US Independence Day underway in Tbilisi

A march dedicated to the Independence Day of the United States of America has begun in the Republic Square.

According to the participants of the march, in this way they once again express their respect and friendly attitude towards America.

As noted at the gathering, for more than 30 years, America has been a supporter and friend of Georgia and they want the friendship to deepen even further.

"Today is America's Independence Day. Since the day of Georgia's independence, for the past 34 years, the US has been Georgia's main partner, one of the main guarantors of its statehood and sovereignty, and has made a great contribution to the construction and support of state institutions. We would like to first congratulate the American people on this day and also emphasize that our friendship is unwavering, despite the decisions of this regime, which do not express the will of the Georgian people, and the Georgian people are very loyal to this friendship - we want to demonstrate this. We also want to emphasize that it is very important for the US to increase pressure on this regime, including by adopting the MEGOBARI act," - Tato Kelbakiani, a participant in the march, told InterpressNews.

The participants will march towards Rustaveli Avenue, where they will join the protest, which has been ongoing continuously for the 219th day.
