Ana Tsitlidze: I won’t tolerate a moral lecture from Levan Gogichaishvili. Before he says anything about the United National Movement, he should wash his mouth out thoroughly

"We will not tolerate moral preaching from Levan Gogichaishvili. Before he says anything about the United National Movement, he should wash his mouth out thoroughly," – said Ana Tsitlidze, one of the leaders of the United National Movement, in response to the statement by For Georgia party member Levan Gogichaishvili, who supported Lelo – Strong Georgia’s decision to participate in the local elections and said he didn’t care about the UNM’s opinion.

According to Tsitlidze, Gogichaishvili was never a political prisoner and obtained that status under Georgian Dream in exchange for a bribe.

“I listened to Gakharia’s representative, Gogichaishvili, and he talks far too much about the United National Movement. I want to tell him this: before speaking about the United National Movement, he should wash his mouth thoroughly.

For a long time, we took personal relationships into account, but let’s be clear — Levan Gogichaishvili was never a political prisoner. He was arrested under the UNM government for stabbing someone — jailed for attempted murder and assault.

So now that he’s sitting here and insulting everyone, we will not accept moral lectures from him. Let him remember — before saying anything about the UNM, wash his mouth out.

And as for how he managed to gain the status of political prisoner under Georgian Dream in exchange for a bribe — we know very well how that happened, and we can tell that story too,” – said Ana Tsitlidze.

For context, Levan Gogichaishvili, a member of the For Georgia party, stated that he supports Lelo – Strong Georgia’s decision to participate in the local self-government elections and that he is not interested in the United National Movement’s opinion on the matter.

"The statement released yesterday, which people jumped on like fools — Kavelashvili is not the one calling elections, it’s a constitutional process.

And now they wave Zarkua in front of me — who used to be a ‘UNM guy’ — and now Bidzina’s ‘UNM guy’ is trying to change my mind? What does it matter if he’s Misha’s ‘UNM’ or someone else’s?

I don’t care about the UNM’s opinion. Their attitude toward Lelo already showed how collegial and respectful they are,” – Gogichaishvili told TV Pirveli.
