Uncontrolled chaos and lawlessness will affect us all — the chairman of “Gakharia for Georgia,” Giorgi Gakharia, wrote on social media in response to the case of the former Chairman of the Government of Adjara, Tornike Rizhvadze.

As Gakharia notes, only wise action and truth can lead Georgia to safety.

“Uncontrolled chaos and lawlessness will affect us all. Bloody confrontations — for the distribution of money stolen from the people. Only through wise actions and truth will we lead Georgia to safety,” — Gakharia wrote on social media.

For reference, earlier this morning, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that the former Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, Tornike Rizhvadze, was admitted to GeoHospitals in Sagarejo with a gunshot wound to the chest. According to the ministry, he received emergency medical treatment. Doctors stated that his lung was damaged and that his condition remains critically stable. Later, Rizhvadze was transferred from Sagarejo to the First University Clinic in Tbilisi.

According to available information, Aleksi Akhvlediani has been detained in connection with the case for the negligent storage of a firearm.
