The arrest of businessman Giorgi Ramishvili yesterday and today’s serious incident involving Rizhvadze clearly demonstrate that under a violent regime, no one is safe — not even those individuals who played a significant role in shaping the regime in its current form, said one of the leaders of “Strategy Aghmashenebeli,” Paata Manjgaladze.
According to him, “This is the Russian model of governance, where no one is spared in the pursuit of holding onto power.”
“The arrest of businessman Giorgi Ramishvili yesterday and today’s serious incident involving Rizhvadze clearly show that under a violent regime, no one is protected — including those who had a major role in shaping the regime in its current form.
This is exactly the Russian form of rule, where no one is spared on the path to maintaining power.
Even in Russia, they arrest and throw out of windows the very people who served the system. Do you know why? Because there, a person’s life, dignity, and freedom have absolutely no value.
This is not about politics — this is a matter of vital importance to the personal safety and peace of every citizen.
That’s precisely why it’s not a question of whether I’m involved in politics or not — we must remove this violent regime from Georgia as soon as possible,” Manjgaladze stated.
