Expert criminologists worked at the house throughout the day. Law enforcement officers involved in the investigative actions left the area without commenting to the media about what evidence was seized.

During the investigative process, the deputy head of the Sagarejo Police Department, Jaba Bitarishvili, provided brief explanations to journalists, stating that the investigation has been initiated under Articles 115 and 238. He did not respond to media questions regarding the exact time of the shooting, whether it was indeed carried out with Akhvelediani’s weapon, or whether any evidence was seized.

For reference, this morning, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that Tornike Rizhvadze, the former chairman of the Adjara government, was admitted to "Geohospitals" in Sagarejo with a gunshot wound to the chest area. According to the agency, Rizhvadze received emergency medical assistance. Doctors stated that his lung is damaged, and his health condition is stably critical.

Later, Rizhvadze was transferred from Sagarejo to the First University Clinic in Tbilisi.

In connection with Tornike Rizhvadze’s case, Alexi Akhvelediani has been detained as a suspect for negligent storage of a firearm.
