"Tornike Rizhvadze’s letter confirms that the authorities were engaged in a criminal confrontation with him, meaning a confrontation outside the law, which led to such a tragic outcome," said political scientist Gia Khukhashvili on Palitranius’s program “360 Degrees.”
According to Khukhashvili, Tornike Rizhvadze’s letter serves as an indictment against the government.
“Tornike Rizhvadze’s letter is an indictment of the government. It states that the authorities were accusing him of involvement in the drug business and corrupt dealings, and the only method the authorities know is filing charges and prosecuting. If this is done informally, it is nothing other than a criminal confrontation. Essentially, Rizhvadze’s letter confirms that the authorities were engaged in a criminal confrontation with him, meaning a confrontation outside the law, which led to such a tragic outcome,” Khukhashvili stated.
The expert linked the case of Tornike Rizhvadze with the detention of businessman Giorgi Ramishvili, noting that both are subject to certain pressures, which, in his opinion, must be related to large sums of money.
“My version is very simple—they are demanding money from a certain circle of people, and if they don’t comply, they will face problems. I believe that Giorgi Ramishvili’s case is also part of this systemic, internal attack because his detention at the airport for the illegal carrying of a weapon is a highly absurd matter. Naturally, he won’t speak out and say it was planted. I think he was simply not allowed to leave at the border, and from this, we can assume that he, directly or indirectly, became part of this ‘cash register replenishment’ scheme. He may not be a direct figure in this case, but an attack is being carried out on someone from his circle, and he got caught up in it,” Khukhashvili stated.
