According to activist Albi Kordzaia, he was sentenced to 5 days of administrative detention in the case of insulting police officer Bidzina Zhamerashvili. He announced this on social media.

"The trial regarding Bidzina Zhamerashvili’s case was held today at the Batumi City Court. The judge was Ekaterine Kakhnishvili. The verdict—5 days of detention.

I am preparing and heading to the Zahesi detention facility," Albi Kordzaia wrote.

For information, on June 28, activist Albi Kordzaia released a video involving police officer Bidzina Zhamerashvili, a witness in the case of 21-year-old Mate Devidze, who was detained on charges of assaulting a police officer. In the video, the activist is seen addressing the police officer with the following phrases: "The guys should be in prison, and you should be here [in Batumi]? May you and your entire family be cursed. You’ve sent the guys to prison, you dishonorable, shameless person."

As a reminder, on June 4 of this year, Albi Kordzaia was also sentenced to 10 days of detention for insulting Thea Tsulukiani, the chair of the Parliament’s temporary investigative commission. According to representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, on April 2, Albi Kordzaia used a megaphone to call Thea Tsulukiani a “slave of Russia” and a “traitor to the country.”
