The European Parliament is concerned because, in October 2024, Georgians did not elect the government that the European Union had planned for, said European Parliament member Hans Neuhoff during a speech at the European Parliament debate on Georgia.
"The European Parliament perceives itself as a moral institution that judges good and evil in politics. For several months now, the European Parliament has been troubled because, in October 2024, Georgians did not elect the government that the European Union had in mind. For months, various committees have been thinking about how to punish Georgians for this," stated Hans Neuhoff.
According to him, the report concerning Georgia "contradicts EU legislation."
"The 'Europe of Sovereign Nations' (ESN) group will not support this report," the MEP noted.
