“The only thing that bothers me in prison is the mutual attacks. On television, I constantly see people insulting each other. Even though it may not be directed at me personally, it hurts, because I know that every such statement distances us from victory,” — writes Giorgi Vashadze, the imprisoned leader of Strategy Aghmashenebeli, on social media.

He also writes that he hopes “the mistakes will be acknowledged and we’ll be able to unite for the final victory soon.”

"I turned 44. Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes. I remain determined, in a fighting spirit, and confident in our victory. If there’s one thing I wish for on this birthday — it’s unity, the unification of our nation to liberate our homeland. The sooner we unite, the sooner we will win!

The only thing that bothers me in prison is the mutual attacks. I constantly watch people insulting each other on TV. Even though it might not be about me personally, it pains me because I know that every such word takes us further away from victory.

I hope we will overcome this soon too, begin listening to each other, respecting different opinions, trying to find compromise, reflecting on our mistakes — and soon we will be able to unite for the final victory.

Strength is in unity!

Imprisoned, but free — Giorgi Vashadze,” — writes Vashadze.
