Giorgi Gorgadze, who was arrested on charges of participating in group violence during the ongoing protests near the parliament, fainted during the trial. The session at the Tbilisi City Court is currently suspended.

A court doctor was brought to the defendant, and he was taken out of the courtroom.

The defendant's mother addressed Judge Tamar Mchedlishvili.

"Do you have a heart? Are you a human being?" said Gorgadze's mother.

The bailiffs urged her to calm down.

"Let them look after the child and show me how he is. He has never had anything like this in his life", - said the defendant's mother, after which she addressed the prosecutors.

"Aren't you ashamed? You are sitting silently!", - said Gorgadze's mother.

All persons were ordered to leave the courtroom before the trial resumes.

For information, three of the detainees - Zviad Tsetskhladze, Vepkhia Kasradze and Vasil Kadzelashvili - are accused of organizing and leading group violence. They face 6 to 9 years in prison.

Five of the defendants - Giorgi Gorgadze, Irakli Miminoshvili, Insaf Aliyev, Tornike Goshadze and Nikoloz Javakhishvili - are accused of participating in group violence. They face 4 to 6 years in prison.
