A protest called “A City Full of Death” is underway near Tbilisi City Hall.
The protesters hold Tbilisi City Hall and Kakha Kaladze responsible for the death of two people as a result of the collapse of the facade of a residential building on the “Station Square” territory.
According to the protesters, the City Hall service knew about the danger of the building long ago, but still did not take measures that would have saved the vicitms.
“The state and the policy of the Georgian Dream are responsible. The death of 2 people means nothing to them. No one was punished for the Vake Park incident, ordinary people were held accountable. We do not want to live in a state where boulders fall on people’s heads.
Our protest is legitimate. This is in line with what we have been protesting for 230 days.
If Kakha Kaladze had a sense of responsibility, he would have resigned and not blamed the population for what happened. Our protest must continue! We are protesting immoral politics!”, - the participants of the demonstration declare.
The protesters will march to the former building of the Public Broadcaster, from where they will traditionally join those gathered on Rustaveli Avenue.
