The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia has released a statement regarding “Mtavari Arkhi” and announced that an investigation has been launched into the abuse of managerial powers within an enterprise, embezzlement and misappropriation of funds belonging to a legal entity by a group acting in prior agreement, and the legalization of illegal income.
According to the agency, the General Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia, based on a judge’s order, has today approached TV company “Mtavari Arkhi” to request financial documentation, within the framework of an investigation launched based on a complaint filed by the company’s director, Giorgi Kurdadze.
“The court orders, which concern the retrieval and subsequent handover of documents and electronic information as part of investigative actions, were officially delivered to the authorized representatives of LLC ‘Mtavari Arkhi’ and its contractor company. They were given a reasonable timeframe to hand over the requested documents.
