We, the United National Movement, do not intend to participate in the Russian special operation. We will fight until our country becomes part of Western structures and until we defeat the oligarchy, – said Ano Baliashvili, a member of the United National Movement in the Gori City Council.

According to her, participating in the local self-government elections means betraying the country.

"As a member of the United National Movement and a citizen of this country, I believe that participating in these so-called elections, first and foremost, means betraying the national interest. Therefore, as a member of the United National Movement, I believe that we must all unite around the common interest and goal of our country.

I address from this tribune the people of the Shida Kartli region whom I represent – including the residents of villages along the occupation line, and all patriots who are fighting against the Russian regime – to say that we, the United National Movement, do not intend to participate in the Russian special operation. We will fight until our country becomes part of Western structures and until we defeat the oligarchy,” said Ano Baliashvili.
