The Ministry of Internal Affairs states that a total of 17 individuals have been detained under administrative procedures on Tvalchrelidze Street

On Tvalchrelidze Street, where an eviction process was taking place, police detained 17 individuals.

As stated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs to “Interpressnews,” those detained on Tvalchrelidze Street were apprehended under Article 173 of the Administrative Offenses Code.

According to available information, among the detained are civic activists as well as several residents of the residential building located on Tvalchrelidze Street.

For reference, the eviction of residents from a residential building on Tvalchrelidze Street in Tbilisi began in the morning. Police and representatives of the National Bureau of Enforcement were mobilized at the scene.

The appearance of patrol police representatives in the morning was met with protests from residents, and there were several instances of commotion and confrontations at the site.

As residents note, the eviction is being carried out based on a statement from a private owner who, according to locals, claims that the building is in a hazardous condition and must be vacated.
