Georgian fencer Sandro Bazadze is the world champion.

At the World Fencing Championship held in Tbilisi, in the men’s sabre final, Bazadze defeated French fencer Jean-Philippe Patrice with a score of 15:9.

Sandro Bazadze is also a two-time European champion and a European Games winner. The World Fencing Championship in Tbilisi has been taking place since July 22.
