Grigol Gegelia: Attacks on Herczyński are a continuation of the Russian sabotage that the Georgian Dream is engaging in against the interests of the population

We have heard twice from the European Parliament that the Georgian Dream has the only chance to normalize relations and gain legitimacy - these are new parliamentary elections and the immediate release of political prisoners - there are no other steps or measures that will legitimize the self-proclaimed regime serving Russians and allow the situation to normalize, - Grigol Gegelia, Foreign Secretary of Lelo - Strong Georgia, stated at the briefing.

According to Gegelia, Strong Georgia continues to protest and fight for new parliamentary elections and the release of political prisoners.

"The EU spokesperson openly stated that Georgia is ruled by a regime that uses "Russian-style conspiracy theories" and is deliberately trying to undermine relations between the EU and Georgia" - this is a direct sign of equality between the Georgian Dream and Russia.

The Russian party called Georgian Dream, which promised its voters a dignified and peaceful march towards Europe, has openly and officially engaged in a four-legged march towards Russia.

The self-proclaimed government, which once had a chance to create real peace and prosperity for millions of Georgians in the European orbit, is in fact spending millions on producing anti-European hysterical disinformation, thereby undermining the national and European aspirations of the Georgian people. This is a regime that is doing everything it can to completely, firmly and finally cut Georgia off from the chance of European integration.

The recent attacks on the EU Ambassador, Mr. Herczyński, are only a continuation of the Russian sabotage that the Georgian Dream has been waging against the interests of the Georgian population for years.

On behalf of Strong Georgia, I would like to express our unconditional support and solidarity with Mr. Herczyński, who plays an exceptionally important role in lobbying for the European and national interests of the Georgian people.

At the same time, in recent days, we have heard twice from the European Parliament that the Georgian Dream has the only chance to normalize relations and gain legitimacy - these are new parliamentary elections and the immediate release of political prisoners. There are no other steps or measures that will legitimize the self-proclaimed regime serving the Russians and allow the situation to normalize.

Accordingly, we continue to protest and fight for new parliamentary elections and the release of political prisoners! - stated Gegelia.
