Court fines two more people, detained on Tvalchrelidze Street, GEL 5,000 each

The court fined activists Datuna Danelia and Giorgi Dumbadze 5,000 GEL each for their actions during the eviction of citizens from a building on Tvalchrelidze Street.

Tbilisi City Court Judge Zviad Tsekvava recognized the aforementioned individuals as administrative violators and imposed a fine as an administrative penalty.

For information, on July 24, several dozen families were evicted from a building on Tvalchrelidze Street in Tbilisi. The process was followed by a confrontation with the police, during which law enforcement officers administratively detained 17 individuals. They are charged with disobeying the lawful request of the police.

Today, the trials of the detainees were held at the Tbilisi City Court. The trial of 4 individuals administratively detained has been postponed. Also, Judge Koba Chagunava released a father and son arrested in the same case from the courtroom based on a verbal warning.

In addition, Judge Zviad Tsekvava fined two evicted individuals 2,000-2,000 GEL.
