Gia Volski: The idea of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia is to somehow bring Georgia under Russian aggression so that the threats toward the Baltic countries are reduced — this is the scenario!

“The idea of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia is to somehow bring Georgia under Russian aggression so that threats toward the Baltic countries are reduced — that’s the scenario!” – this is how the First Vice Speaker of Parliament, Gia Volski, explains Lithuania’s decision to impose visa sanctions on various representatives of Georgia’s government branches.

According to Volski, “It would be very unfortunate if other countries follow this trend.”

"The most important thing is to be honest before your country and your people — including those who don’t support you. Georgia must survive — that is our idea!

The idea of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia is to somehow pull Georgia into Russian aggression, so that threats toward the Baltic states are reduced. This is the scenario! Within this scenario, they impose sanctions, make aggressive statements, sometimes even come here and incite our youth to bloodshed — we see this happening.

I don’t believe Lithuania has any reason for this, apart from these dark strategic plans — which they don’t even hide, they declare them openly,” Volski told journalists.

Lithuania has imposed visa sanctions on 10 more Georgian citizens, who are now banned from entering the country.

According to information published on the website of Lithuania’s Migration Department, the sanctions were imposed on:

Judge Nino Galustashvili;

Judge Jvebe Nachkebia;

Judge Irakli Shvangiradze;

Judge Viktor Metreveli;

Prosecutor Mari Meshveliani;

Prosecutor Natia Tatiashvili;

Chairman of the Government of Adjara, Sulkhan Tamazashvili;

Member of Parliament Mariam Lashkhi;

Member of Parliament Nino Tsilosani;

Head of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Razhden Kuprashvili.

In total, 112 Georgian citizens are currently listed in Lithuania’s visa sanctions database.
