Lelo - Strong Georgia: The government and the Ministry of Justice are lying when they mention Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze in connection with the Washington arbitration - this was a dispute of investor Bob Meyer against the state

Whatever the arbitration’s response, the fact is the same: the government killed the Anaklia project on Russia’s orders 6 years ago and has made no progress so far, whereas the country was supposed to receive the first ship in 2020, - this is how the party Lelo-Strong Georgia responds to the information released by the Ministry of Justice that Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze lost the dispute over the Anaklia port case in the Washington arbitration institution as well.

According to the party, the government is lying when it mentions Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze in relation to this arbitration.

“The government and the Ministry of Justice are lying when they mention Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze in connection with this arbitration. This was an investor, Bob Meyer’s dispute against the state. However, whatever the arbitration’s response, the fact is the same: the government killed the Anaklia project on Russia’s instructions 6 years ago and has made no progress so far, when the country was supposed to receive the first ship in 2020. You can see the rest in the Anaklia consortium’s statement and the investors will provide their own explanations,” the Lelo-Strong in Georgia party notes.

For information, according to the Ministry of Justice, Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze lost the dispute over the Anaklia port in the Washington arbitration institution.

"The Washington Arbitration (World Bank's International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes - ICSID) has issued a decision on the Anaklia Port case and fully satisfied the Georgian government's demands. This time, the Washington Arbitration has confirmed that the failure to implement the Anaklia Port project is entirely the responsibility of Mamuka Khazaradze, Badri Japaridze and their partners, and there has been no interference in any way by the Georgian government," reads the statement.
