The events surrounding October 4 show that until we agree on the rules for decision-making, we will remain in this chaos. This is exactly what we wrote in the 8-point plan: for the sake of unity, we must agree on the rules for decision-making, said Giorgi Vashadze, the imprisoned leader of “Strategy Aghmashenebeli,” in his latest letter sent from prison, published on his Facebook page.
As Vashadze noted, he is ready to listen to anyone who has a different opinion from his approach.
“A unified goal alone is not enough; we need a unified system of action, and that is precisely what the 8-point victory plan is. The main question we must answer is: how do we reach a compromise when there are differing positions? The approach of ‘if you don’t agree with me, you’re an enemy’ is wrong. The 8-point plan includes two decision-making mechanisms—a parity council with a majority vote and, at the next stage, Zura’s proposed platform, which will involve direct public participation in decision-making.
To those who agree or disagree with this approach, I ask you to express your position. I am ready to listen to everyone’s opinion. Strength lies in unity, not in fragmentation,” writes Giorgi Vashadze.
