The government in Lithuania, which put me and my colleagues on the list of undesirable persons, has resigned due to a corruption scandal - these are the people who make unjust decisions, - Nino Tsilosani, the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament, writes on social media.

“It’s interesting, who will be next?” - writes Nino Tsilosani.

For information, Lithuanian Prime Minister Gintautas Paluckas officially announced his resignation today, which will be followed by the resignation of his government.

In addition to the post of Prime Minister, Paluckas is also leaving the post of leader of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party, which is the largest political force in the country’s parliament.

According to the law, the country’s president has 15 days to present a new candidate for prime minister to the parliament.

The Social Democrats will select a new prime minister at a meeting scheduled for Wednesday.

On July 31, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda announced that Paluckas had submitted his resignation.

As is known, Paluckas has been embroiled in a number of scandals in Lithuania, when journalists exposed his dubious business connections. Based on this, the Lithuanian Prosecutor General's Office assigned the Special Investigation Service to investigate the circumstances. Nauseda gave Paluckas two weeks to respond to the allegations.
