Tornike Artkmeladze: If the ‘Kots’ had even a shred of conscience, they should’ve already been long gone and landed at Domodedovo Airport

In recent weeks, the former Deputy Minister of Economy, the former Deputy Minister of Defense, and several high-ranking officials have been arrested on corruption charges. If the ‘Kots’ had even a shred of conscience, they should’ve already long landed at Domodedovo Airport – writes Tornike Artkmeladze, a member of Lelo – Strong Georgia, on social media.

Artkmeladze is responding to statements made by representatives of Georgian Dream regarding the resignation of the Lithuanian government.

“The ‘Kots’ are rejoicing, saying that in Lithuania the government resigned because of a corruption scandal.

Let me remind you – in recent weeks, the former Deputy Minister of Economy, the former Deputy Minister of Defense, and several high-ranking officials were arrested specifically on corruption charges. If the ‘Kots’ had even a shred of conscience, they should’ve already long landed at Domodedovo Airport.

By the way, in Lithuania, the Prime Minister resigned following a case investigated by a TV station. Meanwhile, Nodar Meladze has produced numerous investigative reports on the ‘Kots’ and their corruption…

That’s exactly what a European standard is – the media investigates, the Prime Minister likely faced internal party pressure as well as pressure from the people, and he resigned. That’s the kind of system we want too,” writes Tornike Artkmeladze.
