According to the party Gakharia for Georgia, Giorgi Sharashidze is being considered as one of the candidates for Tbilisi mayor.

As Ketevan Bakaradze, a member of the party’s Political Council, told Interpressnews, she is confident that Giorgi Sharashidze would be an exceptionally worthy mayoral candidate for the people of Tbilisi.

“Giorgi Sharashidze is truly one of the outstanding candidates due to his professionalism, competence, managerial experience, and most importantly, his integrity. Giorgi served as a member of the Tbilisi City Council for four years; he knows the problems of Tbilisi residents very well. He has uncovered numerous corruption schemes involving the mayor of Tbilisi, as well as corrupt deals and tenders with Russian sanctioned companies. I am certain that Giorgi Sharashidze will be an especially worthy mayoral candidate for Tbilisi residents.

The process is ongoing. Multiple candidates are being considered, discussions are being held with voters, and everything is being reviewed. This is not solely a decision of the party team. I cannot confirm anyone as the guaranteed mayoral candidate at this stage,” said Ketevan Bakaradze.
