The court could not ignore the arguments, evidence, and real facts we presented in court. We demonstrated the absurdity of the charge to the judge, stated Giorgi Akhobadze’s lawyer, Lasha Tsutskiridze, after the conclusion of the trial.

According to him, the judge’s decision confirmed that Giorgi Akhobadze is innocent and did not possess drugs.

“I had pessimistic expectations, but the most important thing is what we heard a few minutes ago. The court could not ignore the arguments, evidence, and real facts we presented in court. We showed the judge the absurdity of the charge, which the prosecution had been spreading for months. It was confirmed, indisputably, that Giorgi Akhobadze is innocent; he did not possess drugs, and accordingly, he was acquitted,” Lasha Tsutskiridze stated.

For reference, Judge Romeo Tkheshelashvili declared Doctor Giorgi Akhobadze, accused of a drug-related crime, not guilty and released him from the courtroom.
