Irakli Kurashvili appointed Ambassador of Georgia to France

Irakli Kurashvili has been appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of France and Permanent Representative of Georgia to UNESCO.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Irakli Kurashvili’s diplomatic career started 30 years ago.

“Over the years, Irakli Kurashvili has held various positions in the central administration and diplomatic missions.

Irakli Kurashvili was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Latvia in 2023-2025, to the Republic of Argentina in 2017-2022, and to the Swiss Confederation in 2012-2017.

In 2022-2023, he headed the Directorate General for European Integration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Irakli Kurashvili has been granted the diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary,” reads the information released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
