It is a great tragedy and shame that after 17 years, this country is ruled by a de facto regime that says that Georgia started the war, - Grigol Gegelia, Foreign Secretary of Lelo-Strong Georgia, told journalists at the Shindisi Heroes Memorial.
As he noted, the struggle always has a meaning and the struggle to achieve liberation from Russia is a worthy thing.
“After 17 years, we once again remember the memory of our heroes. We are trying to create a Georgia for which these people died, for which they gave the most, their own lives. I think it is a great tragedy and shame that after 17 years, this country is ruled by a de facto regime that says that Georgia started the war, these guys started the war, which is aimed at Georgia’s isolation, at total international exclusion, and which is actually doing everything to ensure that the interests of the occupier in Georgia win, both in Georgia and throughout the world. In this place, we must remember that the struggle has a meaning, we must fight, we must change and restore the lost memory and dignity that Georgia, we Georgians, as a nation, have always had and clearly, everyone has always said that the struggle to achieve liberation from Russia is a worthy thing. Now we have a government that uses the topic of war as black propaganda against its own citizens and then pretend to bow to these guys..." - said Grigol Gegelia.
