Mikheil Kavelashvili’s official visit to Turkey has begun

According to the press service of Mikheil Kavelashvili, his official visit to the Republic of Turkey has started.

The press service also reports that Mikheil Kavelashvili will hold high-level meetings with his Turkish counterpart, after which a joint statement will be made to the media.

“Mikheil Kavelashvili’s official visit to the Republic of Turkey has begun. In Ankara, Mikheil Kavelashvili is accompanied by his spouse. An official welcoming ceremony for the President of Georgia was held at Esenboga International Airport. Mikheil Kavelashvili and the Georgian delegation were greeted at the airport by high-ranking representatives of the Turkish government.

Today, an official welcoming ceremony for the President of Georgia will take place at the Presidential Palace of Turkey. The President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, will host Mikheil Kavelashvili. The President of Georgia will hold high-level meetings with his Turkish counterpart, followed by a joint statement to the media.

The Georgian delegation includes: Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Lasha Darsalia, Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Turkey Archil Kalandia, representatives of the President’s Administration, and the head and members of the friendship group with the Parliament of the Republic of Turkey: Giorgi Tchkonia, Mariam Lashkhi, and Guram Macharashvili,” the statement reads.
